Street Medics Oxford is a team of volunteer medical professionals who are on duty to protect Oxford's night time economy. We support local bars and clubs to provide on-scene medical treatment and care for those who need it wherever you are between 10pm and 4am on Friday and Saturday nights. Our team works alongside the Oxford Nightsafe initiative, collaborating with Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service, and the Oxford City Angels to ensure we are there for you if needed. Our team may also operate on busier nights such as May Day and throughout Freshers Week.

Aegis Street Medics are always looking for volunteers to continue providing this lifesaving service

To join Street Medics Oxford you must...

Be over 18 years of age
Have a valid in-date pre-hospital qualification (min. FREC3)
Happy volunteering Friday and Saturday nights between 10pm-4am
Willing to volunteer a minimum of 12 hours per month (two shifts)
Volunteers are likely to engage with challenging individuals and respond to distressing incidents involving survivors/victims of sexual harassment/violence - please do consider this before applying
Volunteers will often support highly intoxicated people - if you have a significant aversion to blood or vomit this will not be a role for you
Our volunteers often walk/cycle between 5 to 10 miles every shift
